I asked to have my A/C checked and confirmed they would perform a courtesy check on system. Was told I needed to have a bunch of other things done to car and then charged $80 (with an environmental charge?) for them to tell me the A/C needed work, even though I already knew this. Nothing got fixed but I was out $80. Not going back after work was done to the car and charged for a service I didn't authorize.
Hello Scott, I'm sorry that you are disappointed with our inspection of your car. You knew that your a/c did not work, but did not know why. We told you we would check the system, and also perform a courtesy inspection on the rest of the car. The fee we charge is for the time spent to hook up our a/c machine and see if the system holds pressure and that the other components are working as intended. In your case the system held pressure. However, the line from evaporator to condenser had a leak. I gave you a quote for the repair. We don't think it would be right to service the system, and charge you for the service knowing it would fail again in a short time. The courtesy check we perform is for checking fluids, belts, hoses, air pressures, and basic maintenance items. The courtesy check is free. Your car is in very good condition, as we only recommended two items due to age. Thank you for your review! It will help us in the future to better communicate with our clients. Bret
