Had a blower motor replacement that needed to be done on a 2006 gmc with 200,000 miles so wanted to keep cost down. Was quoted a $500 plus quote for the work. I told them no thanks. Took the same work to another shop with the part i purchase new for $50. They charged me $60 for labor, so it cost me $110 for the exact same work Evergreen was asking over $500 for to complete. Always pay to shop around.

Hello Randy, Thank you for taking the time to write your review. You dropped off your truck because the blower motor was not working after a friend of yours installed one. We removed the motor, found it was binding. Found it was an aftermarket motor made in China. I recommended an A/C Delco replacement unit, based on the fact you had already replaced one with an aftermarket unit, and it failed quickly. Our repairs are guaranteed for 3 years or 36,000 miles and we believe in using quality parts that make your vehicle as safe and reliable as possible. Your quote was for $426.21 including tax. You said you would have your friend install another aftermarket unit. We did not charge you for the time spent looking for a solution to your blower motor issue and believe our quote was your best option to avoid the same issue again. Bret

I have now worked with Evergreen Auto on two separate occasions with help on diagnosing a mysterious break and wheel issue, as well as routine maintenance on my car. What impresses me most about them is their honesty and their customer service. During most recent trip in, I thought I was going to end up spending several hundred dollars on a repair, but the technician located a mistake I had made while working on my car previously, quickly corrected it, and the shop did not charge me for the time. Wow. How many shops do that? As someone who depends on their vehicle day in and day out, this was big for me, and very kind of them. This is the kind of customer service you just don't see much anymore. I will certainly be bringing my vehicle back to Evergreen Auto because I feel like I can trust them to repair my vechle.

Nice guys to have as a shop to go to but they have passed the buck on an item or two. They believe a noise in the front is from my tire tread but again after rotating my tires the noise is still there and shows it's the rack and pinion they put in. They also will not fix a loss of horsepower in the new engine they installed as well as the rough idle they have left it with now for 12,000 miles since installed. Now making me fix at my cost the factors of making it run smooth. My other engine ran smooth!! Yes. Great guys and they were highly recommended. But when they put the wrong oil in ,or they won't go on a ride with you to show them a noise still there, or even the first day they put the new engine in, I took it for a test drive and i wanted to show them the lack of horsepower, they refused and showed they wanted to try and fix something on their own without my direction. I feel now they don't want to look into any more problems because of lack of profit to be made and then later on just tell me that it's now bad because of the wear and tear and mileage. Yet I give them ample time and opportunity to solve and resolve these issues.

Hello Al, Thank you for your review! When speaking of your rough idle, when you were here last week the idle was as smooth as it could be. We could barely feel it running. We have checked for codes and found none stored, however you cleared them out before you got here with your obd reader. All the fuel trims are within spec, there were no misfires going on. We have talked at length about the engine feeling down on power. I did not go for a ride with you when you 1st stated it felt like it was down on power because I personally would not be able to tell if it is or isn't. That is why we sent you at our expense to a shop to have the truck put on a dyno to measure the output of power at the rear wheels. You brought me the printout from the shop. Your engine is 4 horsepower shy of the industry standard of 18 to 22% loss from crank to wheels. Part of that loss could be from the transmission, which has 400k on it. There is not anything I can do to add more power. Concerning the incorrect oil from the oil change we performed last week. I did not know you wanted synthetic oil. I offered to change it right away when you told me, and you declined. Concerning the noise you are speaking about. In June we found that there was a front wheel bearing making noise, and both front axles were leaking grease. We replaced the wheel bearing and axles. To my recollection, you have not told me about the noise still being there. After going through the history on your truck with us and looking in hindsight I'm not sure how we could have offered you better service. We continuously look for ways to improve our customer experience and apologize for yours not being a more positive one with us. Thank you for taking the time for write down your notes on the experience here. We appreciate it. Bret

The staff is very professional, there were no high pressure sales tactics. I took my first Jeep there for a smaller repair after a bad experience at another near by shop. They fixed the problem I wanted fix, it was done quickly and the experience left me so impressed, that I took my (new to me) second Jeep to them as well. Being that it was an older car, I wanted to make sure that everything was mechanically sound. The inspection was thorough and my list of repairs was not bigger then I was expecting. I scheduled the repairs and it was finished in the time that was promised. Not only that, but the quote that I was given was honored, even though part of the quote was missing in the email that I was sent. So the work I received was actually $700 dollars more then my quote. I was not pressured into paying more, they didn't even try asking for the money. They simply said it was there mistake and adjusted the price down to what they quoted me. There were a couple of new things they found when doing the work, and sent me a quote for that to do later if I wanted too. I am so happy with the work that I received and the way the staff treated me, that my roommate has taken his car there as well. One thing that is rare to find is a honest mechanic and a company that actually will take care of its customers, and Evergreen Autoworks is that company for me. I highly recommend recommend them!

Let me preface by saying that they were cordial, flexible and have an Uber pickup/dropoff provided which is very convenient. I would've given them a much better review but what happened when I went to pickup my car. Due to some confusion with AAA, EA had to remove the battery they had put in so AAA could replace battery under warranty. In the process they had to cut the screw/bolt on my battery tray which was now another $100 (over the $1k cost for other repairs) - the part costs < $20 online. When I asked him if he shouldn't replace it for free since they broke it, he said NO, BECAUSE they had to put in and take out and put the old battery in ( for which he charged me $30 extra) which caused the bolt to vibrate and they had to cut it off, and they had otherwise had it done "correctly" which didn't make sense to me. He then asked me to "come in a week when we have that part" and you will then understand what I'm telling you. It seemed to me like he was covering up for their mistake. I am no mechanic but it's a nut and bolt, and it shouldn't have that issue to unscrew it unless you didn't put it correctly in the first place. Sometimes these small things make you cast bigger doubts.
